We were firstly incepted in 2012, as a reward-based crowdfunding platform. In 2019, licensed by The Securities Commission, MyStartr is recognised as an equity crowdfunding (ECF) platform. Since then, We have numerous ECF projects, from small to medium sized companies, with a variety of backgrounds, such as platforms, technology, food, etc.
So far, we have helped a number of companies to raise more than RM 160 Million!
We know that raising capital can be a difficult task. We work to make this process transparent and efficient, for both companies and investors.
ECF actually offers a way for companies to activate their own network of followers/supporters by allowing them to invest in the company they care about. It is also a chance to reach out to new audiences through social media and our database of members.
Although the startup environment in Malaysia is getting much more vibrant as compared to the last few years, the capital market is still not familiar with it. As such, MyStartr, as an ECF platform, plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the investors and startups by educating more and more retail investors to conduct proper ECF investment, at the same time, assisting the startups in scaling faster and bigger.
