SHOPLOOOH is for women who want a lifestyle of inner and outer beauty

SHOPLOOOH is a local online apparel brand in Malaysia. I founded it with my girlfriend Audrey back in 2013. At that time, we have neither educational nor working backgrounds in the fashion or e-commerce industry, and we work simply for a living. We started it by sourcing our apparel from our neighbor country, Thailand, uploading some photographs, and then selling it on the platform.

In the same year, we manage to make a revenue of RM37,000 and exceed RM152,000 in the following year. This achievement significantly inspired us to move forward, which was very encouraging. We notice E-commerce businesses are emerging, and online shopping is an inevitable trend. Audrey, an expat in Singapore, decided to quit her high pay job and full force in SHOPLOOOH business. 

SHOPLOOOH is now entering its eighth year, and we have re-brand our strategies on the concept of a simple yet stylish. SHOPLOOOH wants to balance both inner and outer beauty lifestyles while meeting women's needs. We have created a complete chain of business operations starting from product development, production, logistics, and marketing until apparel sales.

Our products are mainly sold at our official website www.shoploooh.com while our HQ is located Johor old street commercial center is servicing walk-in customers and acting as a warehouse. By December 2020, SHOPLOOOH officially steps foot in Malaysia's largest market, Kuala Lumpur city. We have ventured a total of RM500,000 to set up an experience store at Sunway Pyramid shopping mall. This store will be targeting office ladies with potential buying power and providing a variety of interactive experiences.

SHOPLOOOH targets the women's market at the age range of 20-35 years old, independent, trending, fashion-seeking, and picky but capable of spending. Although SHOPLOOOH only producing 350 new products a year, we emphasize is on the quality of the products, and in fact that every garment made is not only quality but also demonstrate a sense of classic design.

SHOPLOOOH is more attentive in sewing, tailoring, and choosing the suitable fabric, offering multi-size options that take care of all women in all sizes. Environmental aspects are also SHOPLOOOH concern. We are using green materials in our brand, and currently, we are using 90% environmentally friendly products and aiming to use 100% of the green product by the year 2021. Besides, we are delivering our brand concept through packaging so that users can feel the brand's meaning.

 

Creating 100x times growth over seven years from RM0 to RM3.9 million

Remember when we first entered the business, we are just newbies and have no connections for fashion and e-commerce. We are also lack of business guidance at the time. Over the years, we've never stop exploring and made lots of trials and errors and notice some improvement. We've learned from the market that the complexity of running a brand operation, especially in the fashion industry, appears to be stiffer than in any other industry. 

 

 

We have thought from every single aspect in from selecting material to targeting the right market customer segment. We emphasize the value we created to our customers that SHOPLOOOH is affordable, quality fashion apparel. It may seem like the basic unit, but we demand a high-quality fabric. 

The brand is led by Audrey and Garrick, although we are not from the fashion industry. Garrick is responsible for formulating the direction of the company's development, establishing the network and sales & marketing system; Audrey focuses on the production line and takes charge of costing, purchasing, quality control, and production. She also equipped herself with the latest fashion trend and information and identified the coming trend from time to time.

After years of hard work, our sales had soared from RM37,000 in the first year to MYR 3.9 million last year in 2020. 

Sales have grown 100 times over the past seven years! SHOPLOOOH has a growth our fans of 230,000 followers on Facebook and Instagram; active user conversions have reached 45,000 while customer repurchase rate has reached 60% and mark a record of achieving sales of RM150,000 in a single day. 

Currently, we have 25 staff in our team, and we are fortunate to have them as our comrades-in-arms. In the past, it was only Audrey and me. It is not an easy path for SHOPLOOOH without the team contribution.

 

Focuses on brand values and leverage on big data to create a preferable society brand 

In this digital age, we notice that most consumers tend to choose personalized content and relevant to them, which suits personal interest. Malaysians are now more used to online shopping, and unlike in the past, there are many queries about online shopping. Most people will only remember the brand value and stories when making their shopping decisions.

 

Based on these factors, SHOPLOOOH builds a continuous emotional delivery that enhances customer loyalty by providing a better consumer experience. Through years of accumulated extensive data information, SHOPLOOOH can satisfy the customer needs, accurately grasp users, filter segment features according to user groups, select content, utilize social media, and adjust services at any time more. For instance, brands unilaterally dominate the design, and in the future, we will use big data to analyze user preferences and incorporate them into the design.

My ultimate goal with Audrey is that SHOPLOOOH is more of an incubator in lifestyle content. Through Lifestyle Content, Platform, Database structure, we can ensure that every product we produce can fulfill users in terms of quality and service that match user identity.

 

We wanted to leverage our robust social media and our ten years of experience in sales and retail to have more future corporation trusted key opinion leaders to develop more products, and we hope we can help a local brand from zero to star journey.

 

 

The launching of the SHOPLOOOH (Street Wear) series launched a crossover effort with a local designer to promote Malaysia's unique culture and support local young designers. With the hope to penetrate the young Malay community market.

 

In the future, we will do our best to create more excellent value for society.

Brand operating is a long-haul journey! SHOPLOOOH is continuously expanding its market shares and market influence. In the future, SHOPLOOOH is a vision to become Malaysia's first IPO company in terms of the e-commerce apparel industry. We realize that funding is a huge issue if we rely on Audrey and me. 

Challenges always exist, either is in the past, present, or the future. We've sought MyStartr, an equity crowdfunding platform, to start a fundraising campaign to raise RM2 million. We know it is challenging, but it is worth it if it is for vision and mission!

I've been through a big hit in my life when I'm 25 years and I'm confused and don't know what else I can do. What is my plan for the future? I wish to thanks Audrey for her help and the many people around me who pull me up when I was down. This has laid a specific foundation for me on the way to start a business. Over the years, I've learned that hard work and continuous learning will finally find a way to realize your value. And when you find something that makes you passionate about, you will go all out to break through any obstacles to achieve your dream.

我们的故事

 

SHOPLOOOH是大马本土网络服饰品牌,我和女友Audrey2013年一起创立。当时我们的学历和工作背景跟服装及电子商务可说是风马牛不相及的,纯粹为了赚钱和过活。起初,我们只是从邻国泰国办点女生衣服回来,拍好照片就上载到网络平台售卖。

 

2013年,我们做到了马币RM37,000的生意,第二年(2014年)我们的销售额竟然突破了RM152,000。这是一个增添动力、催人奋进的成绩,而正值电子商务刚萌芽的时代,我们看到了网购是必然趋势,所以原本还在新加坡工作,每个周末马新两边忙碌的Audrey,辞掉了新加坡的高薪工作,回国和我一起专注创业。

 

 

 

今年踏入第8年的SHOPLOOOH已脱胎换骨,品牌战略升级为简约而时尚,主张女性向往内外兼修之美的生活方式。品牌营运方面,我们建立了一个从产品开发、生产、物流、营销到销售的完整产业链。

 

 

商品主要在官网shoploooh.com销售,位于柔佛老街坊商业城的总店是门市店和库存基地。SHOPLOOOH20201215日正式进军吉隆玻大城市,总共耗资500千令吉,在大型购物广场Sunway Pyramid打造首家体验店,重点布局具有消费能力的职场女性市场,借助互动体验等多元化服务,有效链接品牌与消费者。

 

 

SHOPLOOOH锁定女性市场,年龄集中在20-35岁,她们个性独立、追求时尚、高品味、挑剔但有绝对的消费能力。尽管一年只有350款新品上架,但我们强调的是质高量少,拒绝快时尚,生产的每件服饰不只耐穿,还兼具经典设计,不会过时。

 

 

我们在车工、剪裁及布料舒适度上更为讲究,提供多尺码选择,照顾到所有体型女性。我们同时照顾到环保层面,在自主品牌的款式上采用绿色环保面料,90%的订单均使用全环保材料寄出,并设定在2021100%全面使用。此外,我们特别在包装上传递品牌理念,让用户发自内容感受品牌的温度。

 

 

创造从0390万的销售额,7年时间业绩增长100

 

记得初入行时,我和Audrey都是门外汉,身边没有做服装做设计做互联网的朋友,也没有太多人能教我们这条路应该怎么走。一路走来,我们摸着石头过河,慢慢摸索,慢慢试错,然后慢慢做好。面对市场现实让我们几次摔跤后,我们意识到经营品牌的复杂性,特别是服装这一行比其他行业来得更竞争。

 

 

每一个层面必须设想周到,包括目标客户群体、服装选材等细节都要仔细斟酌。我们坚持向市场和消费者强调SHOPLOOOH是一种消费者可负担得起、高质量的时尚,看似简单的基本款,实际上对基础面料要求很高。

 

虽然非科班出身,但品牌整体的运营都由我和Audrey亲自带队领导。我负责制定公司的发展方向、建立网络和市场营销系统;Audrey则专注在生产线的目标方向,她必须掌控服装生产的成本、采购、素质、数量等,也要为时尚市场的趋势进行研究、辨识新潮流。

 

在多年努力经营下,我们的销售额从第一年的37千令吉,一路飙升到去年2020年的390万令吉,7年的时间业绩足足增长了100倍!在数据方面,FacebookInstagram粉丝合计23万人,活跃用户转化量高达45000人,客户复购率达到60%,并且创下单日营业额RM150,000的纪录!

 

目前团队人数共有25人,我们庆幸拥有一个很好的团队兼战友,以前只有我和Audrey,没有团队,经营品牌的道路就不能一帆风顺啊。

 

 

 

注重品牌价值观,用大数据做有温度的品牌

 

在数字化时代,我们发现绝大部分的消费者倾向于选择阅览与自身相关、符合自己认知和兴趣的个性化内容。再加上大马人透过网络购物的习惯已经成熟,不像以前这样会对网购物品或线上付款存在许多疑问,大部分人的购物决策也会较注重品牌背后的故事和价值观。

 

基于这些因素,SHOPLOOOH会建立持续不懈的情感传递,透过多年累积起来庞大的大数据更好的满足用户需求、精准把握用户特点、细分过滤用户群体、精选内容、善用媒体、随时调整服务等,为消费者提供极致的用户体验,从而提高客户黏性和客户忠诚度。比方说,一直以来都是品牌单方面主导设计,未来会善用大数据分析用户的偏好,并将其融入设计当中。

 

我和Audrey最终的目标是,SHOPLOOOH更像是一个深耕生活方式领域的孵化平台,透过生活方式内容(Lifestyle Contents平台(Platform数据库(Database的构建,确保我们推出的每一个商品,都能够让用户在品质和服务上得到保障,以及彰显出与之相匹配的身份特征。

 

我们要借助社交媒体的力量以及在零售、生产、营销等近十年的经验,与知名品牌、本土设计师、具有公信力的意见领袖(Key Opinion Leader)合作,共同开拓衍生更多产品,同时希望有机会帮助一个个本土新兴品牌完成从零到有的历程。

 

 

 

其中已经在进行中的项目,就是推出SHOPLOOOH国潮(Street Wear)系列,这是结合本土年轻设计师一起合作的品牌,主要推动具有大马特色的作品,支持本地的年轻设计师,继而打开友族同胞年轻人的市场。

 

未来我们将竭尽所能为社会创造更大的价值

 

经营品牌,要走很长很长的路!未来要让SHOPLOOOH在市场占有份额和影响力不断扩大,要实现第一家上市的大马本土网络服饰品牌的目标,我深刻的了解到,单靠我和Audrey的力量是不足够的,其中资金是很大问题。

 

无论是曾经、现在,还是未来,挑战都必然存在。为了SHOPLOOOH未来有更好更快速的发展,我们已经做好一切准备了,今天我们透过MyStartr众筹平台启动SHOPLOOOH融资计划,目标是马币200万,充满挑战,但为了愿景和使命,值得!

 

我在25岁时经历过人生重大的打击,当时很迷茫,不知道自己到底还能做什么?什么才是适合自己的?以后的路应该怎么走?感谢Audrey,感谢身边许多人的帮助和圆满,让我在创业的路上奠定了一定的基础。在服装和互联网领域的这些年,不断的努力和学习,终于找到实现自己价值的方法。而当你找到那件让你热衷的事,并且充满热情、全力以赴的付出时,任何阻碍就无关重要了。
